Santa's Porch is a Toy Drive started in 2015 by Meg Rivett, Laurie Reynolds, Tracy Johnson, and LeeAnn DiPietropolo. Meg and Tracy had been volunteering at the Milford Food pantry for over 20 years. Laurie and LeeAnn were helping during the holiday season and were put in charge of the toy room. This was a small room set up containing some toy donations. There were not enough toys. We felt so badly turning people away who were looking for gifts for their children. That night we went home, and we said, "We need to buy some toys!" Then we said, " Maybe our friends would help?" That was an understatement. Our friends came out in a huge way. They started dropping off toys at the porch of LeeAnn's home. As more and more toys were dropped off, we started referring to it as Santa's Porch.
The Santa's Porch Charity was born.
Every year we all come together as a community to help and continue to grow. We continue to be amazed at the generosity of our friends, community, and now, people around the country. We are so thankful!
